Ayob Khan and Shuhaily to lead FAM integrity committee

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has appointed former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay as the chairman of its integrity committee for the 2025–2029 term. He will be supported by Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, Director-General of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS), who will serve as deputy chairman.

These appointments were announced by FAM President Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan during the sixth Executive Committee meeting. The move aims to strengthen the national football body's management and governance. The decision follows a high-profile forgery case involving seven naturalized players, which resulted in penalties from FIFA after falsified birth certificates were used to confirm player eligibility.

In addition to the integrity committee, FAM has appointed other experienced leaders to key roles. Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri will lead the Stadium and Safety Committee, with DCP Datuk Mohd Rozi Jidin as deputy. Existing officials Datuk Noor Azman Rahman and Datuk Ismail Karim will continue in their roles as Secretary-General and Treasurer, respectively.
