Ayodhya Bar Association orders three lawyers to leave amid Ram Mandir donation scandal

The Ayodhya Bar Association convened a meeting of its members and issued an ultimatum that former trust officials Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rai must vacate Ayodhya within three days. The association warned that failure to comply would result in a complete blockade of entry to the city.

The lawyers were also told they would not represent the accused in the Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, and any who do could face a fine of 5 lakh rupees. A committee of senior criminal‑law experts has been formed to handle the prosecution, and the association has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the alleged theft of temple donations, which has sparked nationwide controversy.
