Ayodhya marks one year of daily Ramkot Parikrama
The daily Ramkot Parikrama in Ayodhya has completed one year since its regular reinstatement by the Ram Mandir Trust. To mark the anniversary, a large-scale event was held involving thousands of devotees and various saints.
Known in ancient times as ‘Antargrihi Parikrama’, the ritual involves a circuit of more than a dozen prominent temples within the Ramkot area, including the Ram Lalla Temple and Hanumangarhi. While approximately 5,000 devotees participate in the ritual daily, the number increased significantly for the one-year anniversary celebration.
Religious leaders noted that the ritual typically takes about an hour and serves as a foundational practice for pilgrims visiting the city, especially for those unable to perform the larger Panchkosi or 14 Kosi circumambulations.
