Ayodhya Ram Mandir Introduces 360‑Degree Video Surveillance for Donations

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has installed comprehensive video surveillance for every stage of donation handling at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Starting July 25, 40 donation boxes are emptied and processed daily, with 360‑degree cameras, two professional videographers, and an eight‑member monitoring team that includes State Bank of India officials, trust representatives and private security personnel. The State Bank of India seals each box before it is counted, and additional CCTV covers the counting room. The measures were introduced after allegations of donation theft and a Special Investigation Team probe.

The new protocol has drawn political attention: the Vishwa Hindu Parishad condemned a parliamentary protest by opposition MPs over the alleged theft, urging the President and Lok Sabha Speaker to act. The trust says the surveillance aims to ensure transparency and accountability for devotees’ contributions.
