Ayodhya Ram Mandir officials face donation embezzlement allegations

The Faizabad Bar Association has demanded that an FIR be registered against former Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai, former trustee Anil Mishra, and temple official Gopal Rao. The demand follows allegations of irregularities and embezzlement involving temple donations at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Lawyers expressed concerns that the government and administration are protecting the accused. The association previously resolved not to represent the eight individuals arrested in June in connection with the theft of temple offerings and has threatened further agitation if legal action is not taken against the named officials.

Separately, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust released visuals of the Sawan celebrations at the Ram Temple. The footage shows the deity Ram Lalla on a decorated swing, accompanied by traditional Kajri folk music, as part of the seasonal festivities in Ayodhya.
