Ayodhya Ram Temple Trust Opens Applications for First CEO Position

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced that it will appoint its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. A three‑member search committee—Justice (retd) Pramod Kohli, Lt Gen Vishnukant Chaturvedi and former Saibaba Trust chairman Suresh Haware—will screen applicants. Eligibility criteria require candidates to be 50‑70 years old, hold at least a graduate degree, have a minimum of 20 years of senior administrative or financial experience, and be practicing Hindus (preferably Vaishnav devotees). Preference is given to those with prior temple or religious‑institution management experience. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on 18 July 2026, via the trust’s designated email or X post. The CEO will oversee administration, finance, security, HR, public relations and legal affairs, reporting to the trust’s secretary‑general, with no direct government intervention. The move follows a Supreme Court‑ordered probe by a Special Investigation Team into alleged donation embezzlement, prompting the trust to strengthen transparency and accountability in its financial and operational management.
