Ayodhya Ram Temple receives FSSAI food safety certification

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra in Ayodhya has been officially certified as an ‘Eat Right Place of Worship’ by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The certification, which is valid for two years, was presented by FSSAI CEO Rajit Punhani during a ceremony in Ayodhya after the temple met rigorous food safety and hygiene standards.

The certification is part of an FSSAI initiative to promote clean and nutritious food practices at religious sites across India, particularly regarding the handling and distribution of ‘prasad’ to devotees.

Concurrently, temple trustee Mahant Dinendra Das noted an increase in the number of devotees visiting the temple due to the commencement of the Navratri festival and the ongoing Ramkot Parikrama.
