Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust to meet on July 6 to address donation theft allegations and key resignations

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hold a crucial meeting on Monday, 6 July, at 3 p.m. inside the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya. The agenda includes reviewing the interim report of the Special Investigation Team probing alleged embezzlement of temple donations, accepting the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and trustee Dr Anil Mishra, and considering a new administrative structure, including the appointment of a chief executive officer. All regular trustees and ex‑officio government officials – including Union Home Ministry Additional Secretary Prashant Lokhande, Uttar Pradesh Home Secretary Sanjay Prasad, and Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi – have been summoned. President Nritya Gopal Das, who is recovering from a hospital stay, and senior trustee K Parasaran may attend via video link. The meeting follows parallel investigations: a police FIR lodged after a complaint by the Trust and an SIT probe that has already led to the arrest of eight individuals and the recovery of deleted CCTV footage showing suspected cash‑smuggling. Saints and religious leaders have called for action based on the SIT findings.
