Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust to Appoint First CEO, 5,500 Applicants
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the Ayodhya Ram Temple, is conducting a high‑profile recruitment for its first Chief Executive Officer. More than 5,500 candidates from across India have applied, meeting the trust’s requirements of Indian citizenship, fluency in Hindi and English, and proven administrative experience. A three‑member selection committee is screening the applications, shortlisting candidates and arranging interviews before forwarding its recommendation to the trust’s board.
The trust also plans to fill three vacant trustee positions and appoint a new General Secretary following recent resignations and a trustee’s death. A special meeting in Ayodhya will discuss these vacancies, the CEO selection process, financial transparency, and security measures in the wake of a donation‑theft controversy. The final CEO appointment is expected by August 15, after the committee completes its review.
