Ayolas coastal project and Guadalajara water crisis addressed
In Paraguay, legislative commissions are working to advance the Ayolas coastal strip project in the Misiones department. The initiative aims to provide infrastructure and coastal protection to address the needs of local residents, particularly following recent heavy rains. To overcome administrative hurdles, officials are analyzing technical progress, financing alternatives, and the potential expropriation of properties. Deputies Mauricio Espínola and Benjamín Cantero emphasized the need for concrete commitments and social communication with the affected communities.
In Mexico, the government of Jalisco has established a permanent technical table to address water quality and supply issues in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. Following a dialogue involving over 80 specialists and representatives, Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro committed to resolving the current water crisis. The initiative seeks to implement an integral proposal to guarantee clean water and improved service for the region's inhabitants.
