Ayora begins castle slope reinforcement to protect homes

The Diputació de València has launched works to reinforce the slope of the Ayora castle to prevent rockfalls from affecting nearby homes. The project, budgeted at 47,795 euros, aims to mitigate risks identified by technicians on the northeast slope, where unstable rock blocks were detected.

The intervention is expected to last three months and focuses on protecting residences located downhill, particularly those in the Plaza de la Glorieta. Local officials noted that while similar work was performed over 15 years ago, new reinforcements are necessary to ensure the safety of residents in this steep terrain.
