Ayush Ministry integrates AI into Ayurveda and healthcare services

The Indian Ayush Ministry is integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the Ayurveda and wider Ayush sectors to enhance healthcare, research, education, and information services. The initiative focuses on developing specialized AI applications, such as voice-based Electronic Health Records, disease-trend detection, and personalized treatment-support solutions.

Through collaborations with IndiaAI and the Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) under MeitY, the ministry is expanding its digital ecosystem. This includes making Ayush Grid portals available in 22 scheduled Indian languages to improve accessibility. New tools include the MAISP Chatbot for conversational access to information, the ARP Research Assistant for navigating Ayurveda literature, and the eLMS Chatbot.
