Ayvalık hosts nightly handicraft market for summer season

The Producer and Handicraft Products Market has become a central feature of summer evenings in the Ayvalık district of Balıkesir. Held every evening throughout the summer season on Talatpaşa Street, the market serves as both a commercial hub for local goods and a social meeting point for residents and tourists.

Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin and his wife, Canan Ergin, visited the night market to meet with local vendors. During the visit, the Mayor inspected various stalls and engaged with producers regarding their handmade goods. Ergin stated, “It is an important opportunity to get to know the handmade products of our local producers. Seeing beautiful handmade products and witnessing the labor of our producers makes us happy.”

The market is noted for enhancing the visibility of local production and contributing to the regional economy by providing a platform for small-scale artisans and producers.
