Ayyoub Bouaddi impresses in first Manchester City start
Ayyoub Bouaddi delivered an impressive performance during his first start for Manchester City in a 2-0 UEFA Champions League victory against FC Porto. The 18-year-old Moroccan midfielder played 75 minutes, demonstrating high levels of composure and technical accuracy. During the match, Bouaddi completed 54 of his 55 passes, achieving a 98 per cent success rate.
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca praised the teenager's maturity and calm demeanor, noting that his ability to integrate into the team's play was a key reason for the club's significant investment in him from Lille. Striker Erling Haaland also lauded the player, describing him as a “gem” following his performance in training and on the pitch.
