AZ Alkmaar and KAA Gent finish 3-3 in preseason friendly

Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and Belgian club KAA Gent played a high‑scoring exhibition match in Dirkshorn, ending in a 3‑3 draw. AZ took the lead just before halftime through Ro‑Zangelo Daal, but Gent equalised a minute later via Wilfried Kanga. In the second half AZ regained the advantage with a long‑range strike from Matěj Šín, only for Gent to flip the score twice – first Hugo Gambor forced an own‑goal and then Dean scored to put Gent ahead. Weslley Patati secured the final equaliser for AZ with a composed finish.

Both teams rotated heavily, giving minutes to loanees and debutants, including Jari de Busser for AZ and multiple Gent changes after the break. The match was part of both clubs’ preparations for the upcoming season.
