AZ Havířov returns to home arena after renovations

AZ Havířov returned to their home arena, the Gascontrol Aréna, for their first home game following extensive renovations. The reconstruction included work on the roof, the ice surface, boards, and the playing field.

During the renovation process, there were discussions regarding the installation of protective barriers and cages between spectator sectors. However, following significant opposition from fans, the project organizers decided to withdraw from that specific plan after consultations with club representatives.

The home game against HC Dukla Jihlava was attended by 2,139 fans. The match featured players such as Ondřej Roman and Patrik Marcel, who joined the team to assist due to injuries within the squad.
