Azam TV modernizes broadcast production with Lawo IP audio solutions

East African broadcaster Azam TV has modernized its outside broadcast van production by implementing a fully integrated Lawo IP audio ecosystem. The upgrade aims to enhance the delivery of live sports, entertainment, and news programming across the region.

Developed in collaboration with German system integrator Broadcast Solutions, the new infrastructure is centered around HOME, Lawo’s management platform for IP-based broadcast environments. The setup includes a Lawo mc²36 MkII production console, A-stage80 and A-stage48 stageboxes, and an A-digital64 Audio-over-IP gateway.

The system provides seamless interoperability across SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, and RAVENNA networks. By converting audio signals from microphones and commentator systems directly into IP streams, the new technology reduces cabling requirements, simplifies setup, and shortens preparation times for live productions.
