Azambuja municipality keeps education aid programs for next school year

The Azambuja municipal council announced that it will continue a range of education‑related assistance for families in the upcoming school year. Supplements for school meals will be provided to pupils in income groups 1, 2 and 3 across all teaching cycles, with applications submitted by parents through a dedicated form.

The council will also subsidise the purchase of activity notebooks for all students in the 1st cycle of basic education (1st‑4th year), regardless of family allowance level, and for 2nd‑cycle pupils (5th and 6th year) who belong to income group A. From 17 August, parents can collect the required requisition and obtain the books only from approved partner stationery shops; reimbursement invoices are not accepted.

In addition, a school‑material kit will be distributed free of charge to every child in preschool and the 1st cycle of the public network, as well as to pupils in special education and private or solidarity schools that operate locally. Kits are handed out directly by teachers, and their contents are determined by the technical teams of the school groups.
