Azambuja opens new nine-million-euro social and health complex
The Quinta das Rosas Social and Health Complex is set to open in Azambuja, representing an investment of over nine million euros. Managed by the institution Cerci Flor da Vida, the facility is designed to support the elderly, people with disabilities, and patients requiring integrated continued care.
The complex includes several specialized units: a residential home with 30 places, an Inclusion Activity and Training Center (CACI) with 30 places, and a residential structure for the elderly (ERPI). Additionally, the facility will offer home support services for up to 50 users with disabilities and a long-term care unit containing 41 beds.
Executive Director Sílvia Vítor noted that the facility addresses a critical shortage of regional responses for individuals with disabilities, particularly those transitioning out of the school system. While the complex will primarily serve Azambuja, Alenquer, and Cartaxo, its integrated continued care unit is available to users from across the country.
