Azan Ahmed named Pakistan U17 captain for Sri Lanka series

Azan Ahmed has been appointed captain of the Pakistan U17 cricket squad for an upcoming bilateral series against Sri Lanka U17. The series is scheduled to take place in Multan from October 9 to October 24.

The tour will feature one three-day match followed by five one-day matches, all hosted at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Sri Lanka is expected to arrive on October 5, with training sessions for both teams scheduled from October 6 to October 8.

Ahmed, a 17-year-old right-arm leg-spinner, earned the captaincy following a strong performance in the National Men’s U17 Cup, where he took 36 wickets in eight matches while leading Rawalpindi U17 to a title. The selected squad consists of 16 players and four reserves, all of whom participated in recent skills development camps.
