Azemar unveils 2027-28 travel catalogue and Zanzibar expansion

Tour operator Azemar has unveiled its Azemar Travel Collection 2027-28 catalogue during recent meetings with travel agencies in the Emilia-Romagna and Rimini regions of Italy. The presentation highlighted the company’s strategic expansion in the Indian Ocean, specifically focusing on its property, Bawe Island, in Zanzibar.

Bawe Island, which opened in July 2024, operates as a ‘one island, one resort’ concept covering 30 hectares with 70 rooms. Located 15 minutes by boat from Stone Town, the resort aims to provide privacy and untouched beaches for Azemar clients. This development is part of a broader expansion plan involving The Cocoon Collection, a brand encompassing six properties across the Maldives and Zanzibar.

Additionally, Azemar announced the inaugural ‘Berton & Friends’ gastronomic event. Scheduled for November 22 to 29, 2026, at Bawe Island, the event will feature high-end cuisine led by Michelin-starred chef Andrea Berton, alongside chefs Cristina Bowerman and Ernst Knam.
