Uzbekneftegaz and China's Jereh Group Expand Drilling Equipment Cooperation

Uzbekistan's state energy company Uzbekneftegaz and China's Jereh Group discussed broadening cooperation on drilling equipment during a visit to China led by Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Abdugani Sanginov. The talks focused on supplying modern cementing units for oil‑ and gas‑well construction and on expanding the supply of other drilling tools to support Uzbekistan's program to increase exploration and production capacity. Both parties reviewed existing joint projects and explored options to modernise Uzbekistan's drilling operations, aiming to strengthen the technical capabilities of the country's hydrocarbon sector.

The cooperation is part of Uzbekistan's broader strategy to boost hydrocarbon output and improve efficiency in oil‑field development through partnerships with international equipment manufacturers.
