On June 26, Azerbaijan and Peru commemorated the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations with the opening of a joint exhibition in Baku. Organized by the foreign ministries of both countries, the ceremony was attended by officials from the Peruvian Foreign Ministry, members of Congress, diplomats, cultural representatives and the media. Ambassador Seymur Fataliyev, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Peru, highlighted the development of political dialogue, parliamentary cooperation and cultural exchange over the three decades and noted that the first political consultations are planned for 2025.

The Peruvian newspaper La Razón ran a feature on the anniversary, describing a concert‑theatre event in Lima’s Manuel Secura venue. Conducted by Azerbaijani maestro Fuad İbrahimov, the program combined works by Azerbaijani composers Uzeyir Hacıbəyli, Qara Qarayev and Fikrət Əmirov with pieces by Peruvian composers. Officials, parliamentarians and cultural figures attended, and the article underscored the planned political consultations that will broaden cooperation in culture, education, tourism, energy, trade and investment.
