Azerbaijan expands tax exemptions in liberated territories

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has approved changes to expand the scope of economic activities eligible for import tax and customs duty exemptions in the country's liberated territories.

The expansion includes various sectors of agricultural production, winemaking, and the manufacturing of certain construction materials. Consequently, the import of raw materials, machinery, technological equipment, and devices used in these specific sectors will also be exempt from value-added tax and customs duties.

These measures aim to stimulate entrepreneurship and investment, support the development of agricultural and manufacturing sectors, and encourage the introduction of new technologies and modern equipment into the liberated regions.
