Azerbaijan harvests over 3 million tonnes of grain

The Central Headquarters for grain harvest, operating under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture, reported that by July 27 the autumn grain season was 92 % complete. Harvest operations covered 883,995 hectares, producing a total of 3,038,467 tonnes of grain.

The harvest includes 1,491,990 tonnes of wheat from 404,326 ha and 1,546,477 tonnes of barley from 479,669 ha, with an average yield of 34.4 centners per hectare—up 1.6 centners compared with the same period last year. Complete harvesting has been achieved in 20 districts, while 22 districts are nearing completion, and officials expect the nationwide process to finish on schedule.
