Azerbaijan Health Center Addresses Supply Claims; Education Authority Announces Graduate Admissions

The Territorial Health Administration (TƏBİB) responded to social‑media accusations that Sabunçu Medical Center in Baku failed to provide bandages, gauze and plaster. Officials said that on 30 July a citizen was treated in the emergency department; because of a high volume of patients some supplies were temporarily limited, but essential items were sourced from another department and the patient received full care. The agency emphasized that the claim of missing supplies does not reflect reality and that monitoring measures have been strengthened.

State Examination Center (DİM) chair Məleykə Abbaszadə appealed to students admitted to master’s programmes to complete online registration between 3 August, 15:00 and 12 August, 18:00. Of the 17 658 places offered, 13 845 (78.4 %) were filled. Detailed figures were given for filled and vacant spots across disciplines and institutions, noting that some specialties reached full occupancy while others, such as translation and biotechnology, still have many vacancies.
