Azerbaijan military operations progress toward territorial integrity

During the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev conducted high-profile media interviews with Russia’s Pervıy Kanal and Turkey’s TRT Haber to discuss the progress of military operations. Aliyev stated that the military movement is proceeding according to plan, noting the liberation of several settlements, including the city of Jabrayil, to restore Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and uphold international law.

On the diplomatic front, President Aliyev received a delegation from Turkey led by Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also expressed support for Azerbaijan’s efforts to liberate its occupied territories.

On the battlefield, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a central ammunition depot in Ballıca and the neutralization of Armenian military equipment, including BM-21 Grad launchers and D-20 artillery. Additionally, the Azerbaijani Parliament officially renamed the liberated village of Madagiz to Suqovuşan.
