Azerbaijan MP proposes new benefits for families with three or more children
Proposals have been submitted to the Milli Majlis in Azerbaijan to redefine the concept of large families and expand social benefits. Member of Parliament Vugar Bayramov stated that the current threshold for large families, which requires five or more children, could be lowered to three or more children.
If the proposal is adopted, families with three or more children would be eligible for monthly state allowances per child. Additionally, the proposal includes provisions for early retirement for parents in these families. Specifically, the retirement age could be reduced by three years for families with three children, four years for families with four children, and five years for families with five or more children. These measures aim to support natural population growth and improve the social welfare of large families.
