Azerbaijan natural gas exports to Serbia decline in H1 2026

According to the State Statistical Committee, Azerbaijan exported 110.62 million cubic meters of natural gas to Serbia between January and June 2026, valued at $42.548 million. This represents a decrease compared to the same period last year, when exports to Serbia totaled $57.23 million (a 57.23% decline in value) and 66.533 million cubic meters (a 37.6% decline in volume).

Overall, Azerbaijan exported $4.105 billion worth of natural gas to eight countries during the first half of 2026. While the total value of exports decreased by 9.6% compared to the previous year, the total volume increased slightly by 0.5%.

Regarding imports, Azerbaijan only sourced natural gas from one country, Iran, totaling 193.187 million cubic meters valued at $13.001 million. This is a significant decrease from the same period last year, when Azerbaijan imported gas from both Russia and Turkmenistan, totaling 208.246 million cubic meters valued at $31.980 million.
