Azerbaijan oil prices reported to fall in early July

Market data for the first week of July 2026 show that average prices for Azerbaijan‑produced crude fell. Azeri Light CIF declined to $73.63 per barrel, a drop of 5.2%, and on a FOB basis at Ceyhan the price was $71.16, down 5.5%. The Urals blend fell 13.9% to $41.79 per barrel, while Dated Brent averaged $69.87, 4.9% lower than the previous week.

A domestic commentary in Azerbaijan simultaneously claimed that the nation's oil had become more expensive, using the development to reinforce national pride and praise the country's leadership.
