Azerbaijan Premier League: Sabah and Qarabağ secure 1-0 wins

In the third round of the Misli Premier League, Sabah FK and Qarabağ FK secured 1-0 victories in their respective matches.

Sabah FK defeated Araz-Naxçıvan 1-0. Following the match, Sabah head coach Valdas Dambrauskas expressed satisfaction with the team's performance despite heavy rain and the emotional fatigue following recent European competition. He noted that while the winning goal resulted from a goalkeeper error, the team deserved the victory and utilized rotation to give more playing time to squad members.

Qarabağ FK also won 1-0 against Sumqayıt, with Jali Muaddib scoring a penalty in the 45th minute. The match was marked by disciplinary issues, including a red card for Qarabağ's Kadi Borges for aggressive behavior. Qarabağ coach Qurban Qurbanov commented on the red card, stating such incidents are unacceptable for his disciplined squad, and noted that the team is currently in a period of renewal that will improve over time.
