Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev appoints new judges

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree appointing several judges to various courts of first instance across Azerbaijan. The appointments were made in accordance with Articles 94 and 96 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Courts and Judges’.

The decree covers multiple judicial categories, including:

• Criminal Courts: Appointments were made for heavy criminal courts in Baku, Ganja, Lankaran, Sumqayit, Shaki, and others. • Administrative Courts: New judges were appointed for the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Sumqayit, and Shirvan. • Commercial Courts: Appointments include judges for Nakhchivan, Ganja, Sumqayit, and Shaki. • District Courts: Various appointments were made for district courts in Baku, Absheron, Ganja, and Fuzuli.
