Austria's new ambassador presents credentials to Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov received the credentials of Austria's new Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Etienne Berthold. During the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economy, energy, transport, tourism, and humanitarian affairs.

The discussions highlighted the importance of political dialogue and bilateral ties through mechanisms such as parliamentary relations and regular consultations. Cooperation within multilateral platforms, specifically the United Nations, OSCE, and the European Union, was also a key topic.

Regarding energy, the meeting addressed the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring European energy security. It was noted that the supply of Azerbaijani natural gas to Austria, which began in January of this year, has been a positive development for both nations.
