Azerbaijan road taxes announced for Moldovan transport operators

The National Agency for Road Transport (ANTA) has issued guidance to Moldovan road transport operators regarding road taxes applied to foreign-registered vehicles entering, transiting, or leaving Azerbaijan.

For passenger transport, daily fees range from $15 for vehicles with up to 12 seats to $25 for those with 31 or more seats. Weekly rates vary between $30 and $50, while annual fees range from $1,050 to $1,750 depending on capacity.

For freight transport, daily fees are $20 for vehicles with up to four axles and $30 for those with four or more axles. Annual fees for freight range from $1,400 to $2,800. Additionally, vehicles with a total mass exceeding 41 tons are subject to supplemental charges based on weight and distance traveled, with rates ranging from $0.30 to $1.80 per kilometer depending on the vehicle's mass.
