Azerbaijan simplifies visa procedures for 2026 Formula 1

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to simplify visa procedures for foreign nationals and non-citizens traveling to Azerbaijan for the 2026 Formula 1 race in Baku.

Under the new regulations, eligible individuals can obtain visas at Azerbaijan's international airports between August 25 and September 30, 2026. To qualify, travelers must present one of the following: an accreditation card or document from Formula One Management Limited or the International Automobile Federation, an accreditation card from the Baku City Circuit Operation Company, or a ticket (including electronic tickets) for the 2026 Baku Formula 1 race.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with notifying Formula One Management Limited, the International Automobile Federation, the International Air Transport Association, and relevant foreign authorities regarding these simplified procedures and the availability of electronic visas via the ‘ASAN Visa’ system.
