Azerbaijan State Traffic Police issue weather warning for drivers

The State Traffic Police Department of Azerbaijan has issued a warning to drivers regarding deteriorating weather conditions. Based on data from the National Hydrometeorological Service, windy and rainy weather is expected from August 27 to August 30 in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, and various other regions of the country.

In certain mountainous and foothill districts, heavy rainfall, lightning, and hail are possible. These conditions may lead to increased water levels in rivers and short-term flooding.

Authorities advise drivers to adjust their speed to the weather, increase following distances, and avoid sudden maneuvers. Drivers of long vehicles or those with trailers are urged to pay extra attention to vehicle stability due to strong winds. Pedestrians are also advised to exercise caution when crossing roads due to reduced visibility.
