Azerbaijan university placement results pending amid capacity shifts

The results for the 2026/2027 academic year university placement process in Azerbaijan are currently being processed. Education expert Vusat Azizov noted that while results are typically announced approximately three days after the specialty selection concludes, delays may occur due to the ongoing verification of lists for specialized institutions. These include the Police Academy, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and various branches of foreign universities.

Simultaneously, experts are analyzing shifts in enrollment capacity. Researcher Elmin Nuri highlighted that there has been a noticeable decrease in available placement spots across various specialty groups this year. This reduction is particularly prominent in pedagogical specialties within the third specialty group, increasing competition for teaching-related programs. The decrease in available spots affects both state and private universities, with significant impacts observed in specific sub-groups such as history and geography.
