Azerbaijani students participate in Technofest in Turkey

Azerbaijani university students are participating in the Technofest festival held in Şanlıurfa, Turkey. Organized by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology in partnership with the T3 Foundation, the event features numerous teams competing across various technological categories.

One notable entry is the “Uni Code” team from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics. Led by Ashur Bek Mohammadzadeh, the seven-member team is presenting an artificial intelligence project titled “Neural Twin.” The project aims to assist in the analysis of glioblastoma, a fast-growing malignant tumor of the brain and spinal cord.

Using over 13,000 MRI sequences from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health, the AI model is designed to help doctors create personalized treatment plans and save critical time. The team intends to expand their dataset following the festival to develop a model suitable for clinical use. Other participants, including students from the Baku Higher Oil School, are also contributing dozens of projects to the international event.
