Azerbaijan's State Security Service head visits China for security forum

A delegation led by Colonel General Ali Nagiyev, head of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan, visited Lianyungang in China's Jiangsu province following an invitation from the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.

During the visit, the delegation participated in the V Global Public Security Cooperation Forum. The forum addressed topics including combating terrorism, strengthening international partnerships, and the application of new technologies in security management. A final document titled ‘2026 Action Plan on Global Counter-Terrorism’ was adopted during the event.

Colonel General Nagiyev met with Wang Xiaoshun, a member of the State Council of China and Minister of Public Security. The discussions focused on the current global security situation, modern threats, and prospects for future cooperation between the two agencies. Both parties emphasized the importance of mutual trust, respect, and operational information exchange in the face of increasing regional conflicts and global economic risks.
