Azhar Secondary School Exam Appeal Period Opens for 2025‑2026
Al‑Azhar announced that the appeal window for the first‑stage secondary school exams of the 2025‑2026 academic year opened on Tuesday, 28 July 2026 and will remain open until 11 August. Applicants must pay a fee of 200 Egyptian pounds per subject through the electronic appeal system or via the relevant educational administrations and submit a copy of the payment receipt together with proof of identity (national ID or success form).
Students may not appeal subjects in which they already hold a final grade, have previously passed, or that were cancelled by decision. Only candidates who sat the exams in the current year may lodge appeals for those subjects. The results of the appeals will be posted on the Al‑Azhar portal; if a grade is increased, the student must visit the same education region where the fee was paid to claim a refund. A senior committee headed by Sheikh Ahmed Al‑Tayeb, the Grand Sheikh of Al‑Azhar, will review appeals within sixty days of their announcement, correcting any scoring errors according to the system’s regulations.
