Azio AI Holdings announces Atlas One power project in Texas
Azio AI Holdings has announced the Atlas One project, a compute campus located in South Texas designed to address the growing electricity demands of artificial intelligence infrastructure. The project covers more than 548 acres and is engineered for a planned behind-the-meter power capacity of up to 500 megawatts.
The initiative aims to mitigate the challenges of securing utility power for large data centers, a process that can often take years. By focusing on power the company generates itself, Azio AI Holdings intends to bypass the limitations of expanding electrical grids. This move comes amid projections from Goldman Sachs Research that U.S. data center power demand will increase from 31 gigawatts in 2025 to 66 gigawatts in the near future.
