Azione party reports financial surplus driven by taxpayer contributions

The Italian political party Azione has reported a financial surplus for 2025, driven largely by taxpayer contributions through the ‘2xmille’ scheme. According to the party's latest financial statements, Azione recorded an operating surplus of 615,047 euros and a total net worth of approximately 1.4 million euros.

While the party has seen a significant decrease in large donations from corporate entities compared to previous years, income from the Irpef tax allocation reached over 1.5 million euros, representing a nearly 20% increase from the prior year. Other sources of revenue include approximately 238,000 euros from annual membership fees and roughly 201,000 euros in cash donations from individuals and parliamentarians.

Treasurer Giulio Cesare Sottanelli noted that while corporate contributions have dropped significantly, the increase in individual taxpayer choices and membership dues has provided the party with greater financial maneuverability ahead of upcoming elections.
