Azizulhasni Awang receives government support for LA28 Olympics mission

The Malaysian National Cycling Federation (PKBM) has welcomed the decision by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the National Sports Council (MSN) to support cyclist Datuk Mohd Azizulhasni Awang in his pursuit of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

PKBM President Datuk Amarjit Singh Gill stated that this support provides necessary clarity, allowing Azizulhasni to focus on his qualification campaign, which begins with the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Shanghai in October 2026. PKBM has been working with MSN since July 2026 to develop a detailed qualification roadmap, including identifying international competitions required to accumulate Olympic ranking points for the keirin and sprint events.
