Azman Abidin appointed parliamentary coordinator for Ampang

Political secretary to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Datuk Azman Abidin, has been appointed as the parliamentary coordinator for the Ampang constituency. In the role he will coordinate the delivery of government aid and development projects, working directly with the Prime Minister’s Department implementation and coordination unit, relevant ministries, state assemblymen, community leaders and other stakeholders. Applications for welfare assistance in Ampang can be submitted to his office for processing, and he pledged to carry out the duties with accountability, professionalism and integrity.

The appointment follows the constituency’s MP, Rodziah Ismail, being barred from the MyKhas portal that manages special constituency funding, a move she linked to her attendance at the launch of the new Bersama party. Azman, who also heads the Federal Territories PKR, said the new coordination structure will ensure aid is delivered more efficiently and transparently.
