Azores festivals announce new cultural programming and talent searches

The Azores are hosting significant cultural initiatives through two major festivals. The Tremor Festival, in collaboration with Arquipélago – Centro de Artes Contemporâneas, has launched a call for talent to develop a new rave-inspired project for its 2027 edition. The program, running from October 2026 to March 2027, aims to form a multidisciplinary collective covering areas such as DJing, VJing, scenography, lighting, sound design, and event production.

Simultaneously, the Festival Internacional dos Açores (FIA) is returning for its 20th anniversary. The festival will span all nine islands of the archipelago, featuring an eclectic program that includes classical music, cinema-concerts, and community-focused projects. Highlights include performances by artists such as Artur Pizarro and Daniel Bernardes, as well as a series of conferences held in partnership with the Luso-American Foundation to reflect on the history of the festival and the 50th anniversary of Azores' autonomy.
