Azua Region, Dominican Republic Starts Summer Teacher Training and Camp for Students

The Dirección Regional de Educación 03 Azua has ordered all teachers to join a Summer Formation Jornada beginning 3 August 2026. The program is intended to strengthen professional competencies, update pedagogical practices and promote innovative teaching strategies to improve the quality of education.

The directorate also concluded the July 2026 “Aprender es Divertido” summer camp, a program designed to reinforce fundamental learning and support the personal and emotional development of students, especially those with academic lag. The closing ceremony was led by regional director Jorge Antonio De los Santos and district director Mariano Lebrón, with participation from education officials, teachers, parents and community members. The Ministry of Education (MINERD) highlighted the initiative as part of its effort to ensure continuous learning beyond the regular school calendar.
