Azul adds direct flights from Belo Horizonte to Diamantina and São João del-Rei

Azul Conecta began operating two new regional routes that connect Belo Horizonte's Confins International Airport with the historic Minas Gerais towns of Diamantina and São João del‑Rei. The service, launched on 2 July, offers three weekly round‑trip flights (Monday, Friday and Sunday) on Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft that seat up to nine passengers. The Diamantina route marks the first direct link since 2013, while the São João del‑Rei connection restores a previously existing service. Both routes aim to boost tourism and improve accessibility to the UNESCO‑listed heritage sites of the interior region.
