Azul appoints Kenny Johnston as Chief Product Officer

Azul has appointed Kenny Johnston as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO). Johnston will lead the product strategy and execution for the company’s AI-first Java platform, which includes Azul Prime, Azul Core, Azul Intelligence Cloud, Azul Payara Micro, and Azul Payara Server.

Johnston joins Azul with extensive experience in agentic AI and enterprise platforms. He previously served as the chief product and technology officer at Luciq, an agentic AI observability platform. His professional background also includes leadership roles at GitLab, where he managed operations and infrastructure products, and Rackspace, where he served as director of product management for the Rackspace Private Cloud.
