Azul adds Cessna SkyCourier, receives 48th Embraer 195‑E2 and restarts Parnaíba‑Confins flights
Azul Conecta, the regional subsidiary of Azul Linhas Aéreas, announced the acquisition of two Cessna 408 SkyCourier turboprops, each seating 19 passengers. The twin‑engine aircraft will primarily serve the northern part of Brazil, enhancing connectivity for small communities and supporting increased demand from oil and gas projects.
Azul also confirmed that it will resume regular flights to Parnaíba in the state of Piauí starting in November 2026. The service will operate twice weekly between Parnaíba and the Confins hub near Belo Horizonte using Embraer 195‑E2 jets with a capacity of up to 136 seats, aiming to boost tourism and regional economic development.
In addition, the airline received its 48th Embraer 195‑E2 aircraft (registration PS‑ADP, named “Felicidade é Voar”) at Confins. The new jet contributes to Azul’s fleet renewal program, offering lower operating costs, reduced emissions and improved passenger comfort.
