Azul Viagens expands João Pessoa flights and launches Tauá Resort travel packages

Azul Viagens hosted the Nordestur summit in João Pessoa, bringing together government officials, tourism agencies, and travel agents to boost the city’s tourism sector. As part of the plan, the airline will increase its flight offerings for the 2026 high season, raising weekly frequencies to Belo Horizonte (Confins) from two to six and raising the total weekly departures to 12 in peak periods and 13 in low‑season periods – a 20% rise over 2025.

In parallel, Azul Viagens announced exclusive travel packages that combine direct flights from major Brazilian hubs with stays at the newly opened Tauá Resort & Convention João Pessoa, the first Tauá resort with beachfront access. The resort features 9,000 m² of pools, a surf simulator, a wave pool, and a forthcoming indoor water park, offering 1,128 rooms in its first phase.
